The MIDI is designed to be an exceptionally
user-friendly ColorTag for all types of garments. Therefore,
the MIDI works perfectly even for the lightest garments
with the most delicate fabrics. Furthermore, the MIDI
is the only ColorTag designed to protect sneakers and lingerie
while still being able to try them on comfortably. The separate
pin for the MIDI is made of stainless steel with
a polished point in order to avoid damage to these garments.
The fine pin is equipped with a flat, durable nylon head.
The MIDI opens from the outside of
the garment -- a feature that means that the MIDI
is always easily removed from the merchandise at the point
of sale. The MIDI is extremely light and is equipped
with ColorTags unique glass ampoule with the marking dye
under gas pressure. The gas pressure in the ampoule ensures
that the marking dye effectively sprays out and stains a
stolen garment. Thereby preventing any skilled shoplifter
from draining out the dye in a controlled manner by breaking
up the tag. This is a very important feature in order to
induce respect for the ColorTag system among shoplifters
and providing the store with a long lasting low loss level.
The MIDI is equipped
with a very reliable lock which is produced to the highest
standards. The lock contains SKF's: stainless steel ball
bearings as well as tooled high quality steel components.
A ColorTag lock does not jam. The ColorTag MIDI is
in itself a complete theft preventative system, with it's
unique pressurized ampoule of dye which is laser sealed
in special glass.
