PROTEX Introduces the Dome Sensor

Protex International Corp. is pleased to introduce our latest product - the Dome Sensor. It is a revolutionary attachment method designed to enhance customer product displays in the hard goods environment. The new self-contained plug connection offers convenient re-merchandising and provides flexibility in the use of all modular cables including straight, coiled or electronic retractable extensions. The Dome Sensor is an attractive solution for retail environments requiring aesthetically pleasing product displays.

  • Ergonomic shape: The sensor is 1" (2.5cm) in diameter and suitable for many small electronics and general merchandise.
CONFIGURATION
The Dome Sensor is attached to the merchandise via double sided tape. The underside of the sensor contains the micro switch. The adherence area where the Dome Sensor is applied must always be flat to ensure reliable operation. As an optional security measure against removal, the Dome Sensor can be held in place with the standard plastic tie-wrap. The integrated connection socket is compatible with all straight and coiled modular cables. A new version of the Electronic Retractable has been released specifically for use with the Dome Sensor. This improved ER4- P-SR2 has an integrated strain relief molding and provides the appearance of a direct wired sensor (see below). Presently the strain relief molding feature is only available on the Electronic Retractable and not the straight or coiled cables. Both standard (ER4-P) and improved (ER4-P-SR2) retractables can be used with the Dome Sensor. The Dome Sensor works with the ProLink and Prolink Strip systems.
