This year’s honoree was Matthew Sack of Rume Corp.  Mr. Sack received this honor as a result of his commitment to working for and supporting those most in need of assistance, including the Maryhaven Journal Committee to benefit the Center of Hope, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, KILO Diabetes & Vascular Foundation, and R.O.C.K. benefiting children with cancer. We congratulate him on his contributions and thank him for his continued commitment to these organizations.

 

For those people as of yet unaware of the Maryhaven Center of Hope, it is a nonprofit, Long Island-based agency committed to helping mentally and physically disabled people, without regard to age, race or religious beliefs, to realize their full potential. Maryhaven’s mission is to serve this population by establishing, maintaining and operating progressive programs and services, which are residential, educational and vocational in nature. The goal of the organization is the attainment of normalization, in all aspects of life, for each individual in their care.

 

Maryhaven depends on contributions for its continued success and we encourage individuals as well as corporations to join us in supporting the important programs made possible by the Center of Hope. Contributions ensure that this special population continues to live the quality of life they deserve. 

 

After a very hot day on the golf course, the evening culminated in a dinner at which the participants of the Maryhaven Performing Arts put their hearts and souls into a wonderful performance. These performers have overcome many obstacles through the contributions of caring individuals and corporations. We thank all those people involved for their much-appreciated financial contributions as well as the time they devoted to the success of this event.
