Sensors
Protex Sensors provide a convenient and reliable security solution that allows retailers to create open, hands-on displays that encourage customer interaction. With two categories of Sensors – Plug-In and Tape-Adhered - we supply a large variety of ends to suit your merchandising needs. When used in conjunction with our ProLink System, consumer electronics, high-end luggage, handbags, tools and many other items can be secured and made available for your customer’s review.
Plug-In Sensors are primarily used with consumer electronics and are inserted into the device, where Tape-Adhered Sensors are attached to the protected item using double-sided tape. Some sensors, such as the Rectangular, Mini and Attach-All, can be used with a Retractable to offer even more display options for your hard-goods. The use of Couplers and Y-Connectors also provide other alternatives for your displays. Couplers allow you to connect an extension cable to Sensors while Y-Connectors enable two products to be protected by one port.
As a loss prevention tool, Sensors reduce theft of your merchandise by triggering a loud alarm when tampered with to alert associates of an attempted shop-lifting. This feature also minimizes shrink. Sensors help to generate sales and thereby boosting your business by allowing your customers test product features before they buy. After testing and seeing the product features for themselves, your customers are more inclined to make a purchase and less likely to return the merchandise.
